We have generally open tasting appointments on Wednesdays – Fridays at 12pm, 1pm and 3:30pm. If you cannot schedule in one of these timeframes, let us know and we will arrange to host you at a different time. Note there may be costs associated with booking appointments outside our allocated Menu Tasting time slots.

We typically reserve 1 hour for tastings and can usually get everything handled in that timeframe. Please arrive to your appointment promptly. Staffing costs may be added to your final bill in the event you are late or need to stay longer than the booked 1 hour.

Tastings generally cost between $300 and $500 per person, depending on the final menu selection. Tastings are complimentary for up to 2 guests with bookings that exceed $12,500. The cost of the tasting will be discounted off your final bill. Additional guests can be added to the tasting with five days prior notice.

The Copper Key accepts the following forms of payment: company checks, ACH transfers, wire transfers, cash, and major credit cards. There is a 3% additional merchant fee for all major credit cards.

Depending on the scope of the event, you may be required to pay a 50% deposit. All remaining balances are due in full no later than three (3) days before the event date.

Yes, we do have this license. Depending on the nature of your event, it may be necessary to additional file for and obtain an additional permit from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control as well.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?2023-01-17T19:25:56+00:00

If you need to cancel your reservation and give The Copper Key thirty (30) calendar days written notice of cancellation before the Event Date, The Copper Key will agree to cancel this Catering Contract at no charge.

If you do not give The Copper Key more than thirty (30) calendar days prior written notice to your event and need to cancel, you acknowledge that The Copper Key will charge you a Cancellation Fee as compensation. This fee is 10% of your contracted booking.

If The Copper Key offered to waive your Event Deposit, and you cancel your event within 30 calendar days, you understand and agree that you are still liable to pay 10% of your event total as a cancellation fee, and you agree to charge your credit card on file for this fee.

If you cancel this Catering Reservation within fourteen (14) days of the Event Date, for whatever reason, including acts of God, weather, venue complications, or hesitancy due to viral or fungal exposure, you will remain obligated to pay 50% of the event total as a Cancellation Fee. If The Copper Key offered to waive your Event Deposit, and you cancel your event within fourteen (14) days, you understand and agree that you are still liable to pay 50% of your event total as a cancellation fee.

If you cancel this Catering Reservation within seven (7) days of the Event Date, for whatever reason, including acts of God, weather, venue complications, viral or fungal outbreaks, or related complications, you will remain obligated to pay the total balance of this Catering Reservation. Note that in ALL cases above, including giving 30-day notice, if you cancel this Catering Reservation, you will be billed for and agree to pay for previous menu tastings.

If there is a Federal, State, or Local Government ordinance that mandates the cancellation or postponement of your Event, The Copper Key will not hold you responsible and will work with you to move your event to a date where it can be safely and legally held.

The Copper Key will work with you in all instances above to rebook your event to a mutually satisfactory date and credit a portion, or in some cases, all your Cancellation Fees toward an event at a future date.

A 22% Administrative Fee has been added to the entire total of the event invoice for the processing, administrative fees, insurance, and other operational expenses. Administrative fees cover overhead, time used while planning your event, labor utilized to prepare and pack for your event, washing, restocking, etc.

This fee is not a gratuity. Our staff is paid a living wage, and it is not customary to tip the service staff as you would in a restaurant, where staff is paid minimum wage. Gratuity is optional and is appreciated by our staff.

We do offer custom menu creation for event. Note that custom menus often carry higher pricing than our standard items.

We absolutely do. Even if you don’t ask us, we will ensure to suggest and prepare Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Nut Free and Dairy Free options so you can offer a balanced menu to your guests. We can also accommodate more specific restrictions with advance notice.

How much time do you need for setup and take down?2023-01-17T19:27:18+00:00

This is always depending on the scope of the event, but generally we will need to start our set up three hours prior to service, and take ninety minutes to breakdown and depart.
